Relationships have the ability to become broken and twisted. Misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and unmet expectations can skew the connections we have. Poor choices can hurt one another, fracturing the bonds we share. We have all experienced this truth in our own lives. Philemon and Onesimus, two members of a first century household, were no different. They had friction and unresolved conflict that resulted in Onesimus running away. Now, what was to be done with the fragments of their family?

As we open the book of Philemon, we find that the Apostle Paul is sending Onesimus back to Philemon with a letter. This was a bold, countercultural move that came with risk. As we read this letter, let’s witness the passion God has for restoration, and how He speaks into lives of brokenness to bring reconciliation.

This one week, five day study of the epistle of Philemon is designed to help you engage with God through His Word, as well as connect and grow within a community. Each day comes equipped with discussion/discipleship questions for you to use personally, in a discipleship relationship, or within a group.
